Tykes is an introductory basketball program for boys and girls age 5-7 years old (born 2004-2006).
Tykes is primarily a fun session so children become familiar with the game of basketball while learning basic skills. Some organized drills and practice scrimmages also take place to ensure the activity remains fun.
Tykes "teams" are co-ed, with both boys & girls on the same team. Children are divided into groups based on age and skill.
Little Tykes runs on Saturdays from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. and is for children age 5 and 6.
Big Tykes runs on Saturdays from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. and is for children age 6 and 7.
Unlike the regular program there are
no scheduled practices through the week. Instead players attend a 1.5 hr session every Saturday at L'Ecole Élémentaire Jeanne - Sauvé. Saturday sessions throughout the year are:
Session 1: ($50.00) Oct 15 - Dec 10, 2011 REGISTRATION FULL
Session 2: ($50.00) Jan 14 - Mar 03, 2012
