GCBA REFEREE TRAINING SCHEDULE FOR 2011-12 – NEW REFEREES

 

• Registration Session

Date: Monday, September 12th

Time:  7:00 to 8:00 PM (arrive earlier and depart on time)

Location: Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School Cafeteria

Activities:
 

• Registration - Validate information provided on the pre-registration form or in voice-mail messages

• Rules - test and marking

• Points of Emphasis in Refereeing.  GCBA Referee Handbook distributed.

• Administration.  Purchase whistles ($5.00).

 

• Rules 1 Session

Date: Tuesday, September 13th   

Time: 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Location: Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School Cafeteria

Activities:
 

• All new candidates (1st year referees) and 2nd year referees. 
• Bring a pen or pencil and paper.

 

• Rules 2 Session

Date: Friday, September 16th  

Time: 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Location: Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School Cafeteria

Activities:

• All new candidates (1st year referees) and 2nd year referees. 
• Bring a pen or pencil and paper.

 

• Mechanics Session

Date: Sunday, September 18th 

Time: 12:00 to 3:00 PM

Location: Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School Gym (small gym)

Activities:

• All new candidates (1st year referees)
• GCBA Referee Exam, (1st and 2nd year referees) bring pencil or pen
• Bring running shoes, shorts, and new whistles

 

 

NOTE: REFEREE SELECTION:  Only those selected will be called for their assignments on October 15th.
